Make a difference every day by supporting elementary students as a Special Education Teacher in a part-time capacity for the upcoming school year. What You’ll Need:

  • Valid Minnesota Special Education Teaching License (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly those with ABS (Autism Spectrum or Behavioral Support) needs
  • Strong knowledge of special education best practices and compliance standards
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, students, and families
  • Skillful in adapting instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
  • Ability to manage a part-time caseload efficiently
  • Resume submission reflecting relevant credentials and experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction to elementary students with ABS needs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress in accordance with district and state guidelines
  • Collaborate actively with general education staff, support personnel, and parents to ensure cohesive support for each student
  • Participate in IEP meetings, team consultations, and ongoing professional development
  • Provide a safe, supportive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and growth

This contract position commences August 25, 2026, and continues through June 10, 2027. As a part-time teacher (roughly 18 hours per week, 0.5 FTE), your schedule will be Monday through Friday at an elementary school setting.
