Special Education Teacher in Mc Coll, SC

Key Qualifications:

• Active South Carolina Teaching License
• BOTH Special Education and Early Childhood Degree Certification required for EC PCD Teacher (3-4yo) positions
• Special Education Multi-Categorical endorsement required for ID Mild/Moderate Self-Contained (K-3) roles
• Prior experience working with preschool or elementary-aged students in a Special Education setting strongly preferred
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
• Ability to adapt instruction and interventions to meet diverse learner needs

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction to students in line with IEP objectives
• Develop lesson plans and adapt curriculum for students with varying disabilities
• Monitor student progress, manage documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
• Communicate effectively with general education staff, families, and support personnel
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment for young students
• Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local Special Education policies and procedures
• Collaborate with other educators and specialists to optimize student outcomes
• Participate in professional development aligned with current best practices
