Positions are available in moderate and self-contained resource settings, fostering inclusive education across grade levels.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, active South Carolina Special Education Teacher License (Multi-Categorical or required endorsements)
- Experience working in special education settings, including moderate and self-contained classrooms
- Ability to collaborate with teachers and support staff in co-taught and resource environments
- EC certification/endorsement required for PreK positions
- Flexibility to work across grade levels (Elementary, Middle, High, PreK)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs
- Deliver instruction in a variety of classroom settings, including self-contained, moderate, and resource rooms
- Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive practices
- Maintain accurate records and documentation per state guidelines
- Foster a supportive, positive learning environment for all students, adapting teaching strategies as needed
- Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development
Additional Information:
- Immediate start through May 28, 2027; 35-37.5 hours per week
- Assignments at multiple school sites, with onsite work preferred
- Roles include elementary (8:30-3:35), middle (7:30-2:45), high school (8:30-3:35), and PreK (7:30-2:00)
