Job Description

This role focuses on providing excellent care and guidance as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in a dynamic educational environment. You’ll be on-site working directly with students, collaborating virtually with supervising Physical Therapists, and making a daily difference in the lives of young learners.
Skills & Experience Sought:
- Active and current South Carolina PTA license (required)
- Experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations strongly preferred
- Confidence in working independently while under remote supervision from a physical therapist
- Adaptability to various educational environments and age ranges (K-12)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills when interacting with educators, students, and families
- Adept at implementing treatment plans and adapting activities to meet individual student needs
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and safe learning space
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, in-person therapy services to students in multiple school sites
- Execute established treatment plans as prescribed by a remotely supervising PT
- Accurately document sessions, progress, and outcomes per district and licensure standards
- Adapt interventions for a variety of ages, needs, and functional abilities
- Participate in meetings and coordinate care as needed for compliance and student success
- Maintain timely communication and collaboration with the supervising PT via virtual platforms
