Special Education Teacher in Beaufort, SC

You’ll work onsite for 37.5 hours each week, collaborating within caring teams to foster academic and personal growth for students with diverse needs. With three openings available, needs range from intensive support at the elementary level to supplemental resource assistance in both high school and middle school settings.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current certification to teach Special Education (or eligibility for certification)
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
• Classroom experience with IEP processes and delivering individualized instruction
• Expertise supporting students with a range of disabilities, including behavioral and academic interventions
• Strong communication, flexibility, and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Use varied instructional strategies to address different learning styles and abilities
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
• Coordinate with general educators, therapists, and families for comprehensive support
• Document student progress, maintain records, and comply with district and state requirements
• Participate in meetings, professional development, and parent conferences
