School Psychologist - Sterling Heights, MI

Make a difference in the lives of students as a dedicated School Psychologist, working onsite within a supportive academic environment near Sterling Heights, MI. This contract opportunity offers flexibility with 20–30 hours per week during the 2026-2027 school year. You’ll have the chance to work across multiple school buildings—either within elementary settings, serving three schools, or at the middle school level, supporting two buildings. Your expertise will help shape positive experiences and outcomes for students at critical stages in their development.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Licensed or eligible to practice as a School Psychologist in the state of Michigan
• Previous experience working in an educational setting is highly preferred
• Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families
• Familiarity with special education processes, individualized education programs (IEPs), and behavioral intervention planning
• Compassionate communication and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct cognitive, academic, and social-emotional assessments to support student success
• Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and contribute to individualized education program development
• Offer individual and group counseling to address academic, behavioral, and emotional needs
• Consult with teachers and families to provide resources and recommendations
• Help develop and implement interventions that support a positive school climate
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in compliance with school policies and state regulations
