Job Description
Empower students by providing vital psychological services in an educational environment near Detroit, MI! This contract opportunity is perfect for dedicated, compassionate School Psychologists interested in supporting students’ academic and social-emotional growth for the 2026-2027 academic year.
You’ll work onsite, offering your expertise at either elementary (three buildings) or middle school (two buildings) campuses. With a flexible schedule of 20-30 hours per week, this role provides a meaningful way to make a difference in young lives while enjoying work-life balance.
Qualifications & Experience Preferred:
- Valid School Psychologist certification/licensure (Michigan)
- Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology or related field
- Experience providing psychological assessments and interventions in K-8 settings
- Positive communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Understanding of Response to Intervention (RTI) and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) frameworks
- Commitment to ethical practice and ongoing professional development
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations
- Collaborate in the development and implementation of IEPs and 504 Plans
- Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral development
- Advise educators and families on intervention strategies to optimize student success
- Provide crisis intervention and counseling services as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in interdisciplinary teams
- Facilitate workshops and staff training related to mental health and well-being
