School Psychologist in Sterling Heights, MI

Enjoy a varied work week supporting either elementary or middle school students across multiple school sites, assisting with their academic, emotional, and behavioral needs.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid School Psychologist certification (state and national preferred)
• Previous experience working with K–8 student populations
• Proficiency in psychological assessment, crisis intervention, and student counseling
• Strong skills in report writing, documentation, and data-driven decision-making
• Exceptional communication abilities and a collaborative mindset

Primary Responsibilities:

• Administer evaluations to identify student needs and eligibility for special education services
• Work onsite in either 3 elementary buildings or 2 middle schools, providing services across campuses
• Deliver counseling and intervention services, both individually and in groups
• Support the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to foster student success
• Participate in RTI/MTSS processes, progress monitoring, and behavioral planning
• Serve as a resource for mental health awareness and staff training initiatives

Position Details:

• Contract role beginning with the upcoming school year
• 20–30 hours per week on a regular, predictable school schedule
