Bring your passion for supporting young learners and your expertise in speech-language pathology to a dynamic elementary school environment. Full-time contract opportunities are available for experienced SLPs with their CCCs who are ready to make a direct impact in the school setting.

In this role, you’ll deliver onsite speech and language services within welcoming elementary communities. You may support two different schools, offering the chance to collaborate with diverse teams and work with a variety of students, all while enjoying a consistent 35-hour workweek. You’ll use your knowledge and compassion to help students develop vital communication skills, while also joining a district that values professional standards and student success.

Qualifications:

  • Active Connecticut SLP license required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is mandatory
  • Previous school-based SLP experience
  • Experience with elementary-aged children preferred
  • Ability to travel between two nearby school sites as needed
  • Up-to-date district fingerprinting and background checks (required before start)
  • Must be able to work onsite; remote/SLPA support is not available for this assignment

Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, and individualized therapy to elementary students
  • Maintain regular documentation and progress notes in accordance with district guidelines
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families
  • Participate in IEP meetings and support student learning goals
  • Develop engaging therapy plans tailored to students’ diverse needs
