Step into an engaging school-based environment supporting K-12 students with communication needs. Two full-time contract positions are available, both covering maternity leaves. The first role begins at the end of September and continues through mid-December. The second position has a tentative start in mid-November, running until early January. These are 35-hour-per-week onsite opportunities providing direct impact and continuity of care for students during crucial times.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
  • Active Speech-Language Pathology license in Connecticut
  • Demonstrated prior experience working in a school setting
  • Comfortable working with K-12 populations
  • Must be able to fulfill fingerprinting and background check requirements set by the district
  • Candidates must be able to work onsite; remote arrangements are not offered
  • SLPAs are not eligible for these roles

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and treat students with speech, language, and communication disorders in a K-12 setting
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in coordination with educational staff
  • Maintain accurate documentation for all services provided
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Communicate progress with families and instructional personnel
  • Ensure compliance with school, state, and federal regulations
