Occupational Therapist School Setting in Haverhill, MA

Make a meaningful impact as a contract Occupational Therapist working with K-12 students in a supportive educational environment. This role focuses on providing essential therapy services to children and adolescents with diverse needs. Engage directly with students onsite while collaborating closely with school staff to help students achieve their educational and developmental goals.

What we’re looking for:

• Current, active Occupational Therapist license required
• Experience working in school-based settings, preferably across K-12 age groups
• Strong understanding of therapeutic practices tailored to pediatric and adolescent populations
• Excellent communication and record-keeping skills
• Comfort working exclusively onsite and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
• Ability to adapt to varying caseloads and school schedules

Your key responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to students of various ages (K-12) in accordance with their IEPs or 504 plans
• Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and document progress
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support student success
• Participate in IEP/504 meetings and provide professional recommendations as needed
• Educate and support school personnel regarding best practices for accommodations and interventions
• Maintain confidential and accurate records in compliance with district and legal standards
