Play a pivotal role in supporting students’ emotional wellbeing and academic progress by bringing your expertise in school psychology to a dynamic educational environment. This contract opportunity is tailored for a skilled professional with a strong background in behavioral health and counseling, dedicated to making a substantial positive impact on students with intensive social, emotional, and behavioral needs. Within the Promising Students Program, you'll be integral to trauma-informed interventions that help shape successful learning outcomes and healthier school communities.

In this full-time role (37.5 hours per week), you will collaborate closely with educators and families to implement proactive strategies and provide robust support for each student's growth.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid School Psychologist license or certification (or eligibility)
  • Experience with trauma-informed care and behavioral interventions
  • Expertise conducting psychoeducational assessments and Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs)
  • Background in counseling children and adolescents, both individually and in groups
  • Familiarity with testing, IEP/504 processes, and data-driven decision making
  • Strong communication and consultation skills with multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to develop and monitor Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
  • Comfort supporting students with significant emotional/behavioral challenges

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individual and small-group counseling tailored to emotional and behavioral needs
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and FBAs for effective recommendations
  • Collaborate on the design, implementation, and monitoring of BIPs
  • Support Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) within the school
  • Consult with teachers and family members to reinforce interventions
  • Participate actively in IEP and Section 504 planning meetings
  • Aid in crisis responses, safety planning, and transitional support
  • Design reintegration plans for students returning to home schools
