School Psychologist - Irmo, South Carolina

Take on a meaningful, dynamic assignment as a School Psychologist with a full-time, on-site contract spanning the 2026-2027 academic year. You’ll play a central role in supporting student well-being and enhancing their academic and social success. Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology
• State certification as a School Psychologist
• At least two years of internship or school-based experience
• Demonstrated skill administering, scoring, and reporting psychoeducational assessments
• Proficiency in counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral consultation
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and interpret a range of psychological tests to determine special education eligibility
• Provide individual and group counseling, addressing mental health needs
• Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, parents, and outside agencies to support student learning and positive behaviors
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams and contribute to development of IEPs
• Assist with crisis management programs and provide intervention as needed
• Analyze student records, prepare detailed reports, and communicate findings effectively
• Lead in-service instruction for staff and parents, maintaining current knowledge in the field
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district policies and documentation requirements

Physical and Professional Expectations:

• Capable of sedentary work with occasional lifting up to 10 lbs
• Competence in using computers, office equipment, and transportation
• Able to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
