Embark on a meaningful contract opportunity supporting students’ growth and wellbeing as a School Psychologist at a vibrant educational setting near Elgin, SC. This full-time onsite position runs from August 6, 2026, through May 27, 2027, providing direct and consultative support for students, staff, and families.
What We're Looking For:
- Master’s degree or higher in school psychology
- Minimum of two years’ experience as a school psychologist intern or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
- State certification as a School Psychologist
- Proficiency in conducting comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and preparing detailed reports
- Strong analytical skills interpreting school records, assessment data, and psychological evaluations
- Effective communicator, able to clearly convey results and recommendations to parents, teachers, and support teams
- Capable of providing individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and coordinating crisis management programs
- Collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams, medical professionals, and outside agencies
- Computer literacy for record-keeping, test scoring, and report preparation
- Adaptable and poised under pressure, prepared for occasional crisis response
Your Day-to-Day:
- Administer, score, and analyze assessments to determine student eligibility for special education services
- Observe student behavior and interact with teachers, parents, and administrators to support learning and mental health
- Consult on the development of IEPs and participate in placement and assessment teams
- Deliver in-service trainings, stay current with professional innovations, and ensure compliance with legal and policy guidelines
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, including reports, records, and Medicaid forms
