Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a School Psychologist in the Columbia, SC area for the 2026–2027 academic year. In this dynamic onsite role, you’ll play an essential part in supporting students’ social, emotional, and academic growth. With a full-time, 37.5-hour workweek, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor and support system for students, families, and educators.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in School Psychology required
  • Minimum two years’ experience as a school psychologist intern or equivalent experience
  • Current state certification as a School Psychologist
  • Proficient in conducting psychoeducational evaluations and interpreting complex data
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and report-writing skills
  • Ability to consult and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies
  • Strong technical skills, including computer and office equipment proficiency

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to determine student eligibility for special education
  • Provide individual and group counseling services to support students’ mental health
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and outside professionals to foster learning and positive behavior
  • Participate actively in Student Assessment Teams, IEP meetings, and crisis intervention programs
  • Coordinate with medical, mental health, and community agencies to maximize student support
  • Deliver in-service education to teachers and parents
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation according to regulations
  • Stay current on best practices, legislation, and innovations in school psychology
