School-Based Social Worker - Meriden, Connecticut

Exciting opportunities are available for experienced school-based Social Workers seeking contract roles in engaging educational settings near Meriden, CT. We are seeking dedicated professionals for two full-time onsite positions, each offering a dynamic, supportive atmosphere with the chance to make a meaningful difference.

Position 1:

• Full-time: 35 hours, Monday through Friday
• Dates: August 31, 2026 – October 9, 2026
• High school caseload

Position 2:

• Full-time: 35 hours, Monday through Friday
• Dates: August 31, 2026 – September 30, 2026
• Elementary school caseload
• Possibility of extension

These roles focus primarily on conducting student evaluations, ensuring you utilize and further develop your assessment skills. Both placements offer the unique opportunity to work closely with students, educators, and families, helping to foster positive learning environments.

Qualifications:

• Current and active CT DPH license and CT (071) certification (must be provided with application)
• Prior experience in school-based social work is required
• Comfortable with short-term and leave replacement assignments
• Skilled at conducting student evaluations
• Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and families
• Flexible and adaptable to changing needs
• Must be available for onsite work; virtual options are not available
• Interview will be conducted via Zoom

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive social/emotional and behavioral evaluations
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary education teams
• Support students’ social and emotional well-being
• Provide recommendations and strategies to staff and families
