Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist within a dynamic school setting. This full-time, onsite contract position offers you the chance to make a significant impact on students' communication skills while collaborating with a supportive educational team. With two openings available, you’ll manage elementary caseloads, which may require working across two local school sites, ensuring a diverse and engaging workday.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Possession of Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is mandatory
- Current, active Speech-Language Pathology license issued by the state of Connecticut
- Documented school-based SLP experience is essential
- Knowledge of best practices and evidence-based interventions for elementary-aged students
- SLPAs are not eligible for this assignment
- Willingness to complete district background checks and fingerprinting
- Upfront licensure process completion preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy services to elementary students
- Evaluate and develop individualized treatment plans based on student needs and IEP goals
- Document progress according to school and district guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals for optimal student outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and school-based multidisciplinary teams
- Travel between two school locations as caseload requires
