Job Description
Make a real difference supporting students as a school social worker with contracts available in New Britain this fall. Two full-time opportunities are open for experienced professionals eager to impact young lives while collaborating with dedicated school staff.
Position Details:
- High school opening: August 31 – October 9, 2026, serving a diverse caseload at a well-respected high school.
- Elementary opening: August 31 – September 30, 2026, focusing on students in an energetic and supportive elementary setting.
- Both roles offer 35 hours/week, Monday through Friday, with the potential for assignment extensions.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Connecticut DPH and CT (071) school social work licensure/certification required.
- Prior experience working in school-based settings is essential.
- Demonstrated skill and comfort completing evaluations.
- Adaptable and ready for short-leave assignments.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Onsite work only; remote/virtual options are not available.
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and deliver high-quality social work services tailored to students’ academic, social, and emotional needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families to foster a positive, inclusive school climate.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and compliance with school and state requirements.
- Serve as a vital advocate for student well-being, promoting positive behavior and academic engagement.
