Make a lasting impact supporting students with emotional and behavioral needs in a dynamic school environment. This contract role calls for a dedicated School Psychologist with a strong foundation in behavioral and counseling practices. You’ll work with the Promising Students Program, delivering trauma-informed and data-driven behavioral and mental health services to students facing the most significant social, emotional, and academic challenges.

In this vital position, your expertise will directly contribute to reducing behavioral incidents and disciplinary events, helping students overcome barriers and thrive—both in and out of the classroom. Your counseling and assessment skills will play a crucial role in nurturing emotional regulation, problem-solving abilities, and interpersonal growth.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid School Psychologist credential and relevant state licensure
  • Experience conducting psychoeducational and behavioral assessments
  • Strong background in counseling, trauma-informed care, and behavioral interventions
  • Familiarity with Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
  • Competence supporting Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)
  • Effective communication, consultation, and collaboration skills
  • Comfortable participating in IEP and Section 504 processes
  • Ability to assist with crisis response and safety planning

What You'll Do:

  • Provide individual and small-group counseling
  • Conduct thorough psychoeducational and behavioral evaluations
  • Contribute expertise to FBAs and BIPs, ensuring effective monitoring and adjustment
  • Partner with teachers, families, and school teams for customized student support
  • Participate in IEP and Section 504 meetings, offer recommendations
  • Help create and implement crisis and safety plans
  • Develop transition plans, ensuring successful student reintegration to home campuses
