Special Education Teacher | Pickerington, Ohio

Key Qualifications:

• Hold a valid, active Ohio license/certificate in Education of the Handicapped K-12 or Intervention Specialist K-12 (Moderate/Intensive or Mild/Moderate).
• Demonstrated experience with IEP development, assessment, and implementation.
• Comfortable providing instruction in resource room settings, small group tutoring sessions, and inclusion classrooms.
• Knowledge of effective instructional strategies for students with multiple disabilities.
• Skilled in collaborating with a variety of staff and supporting students from diverse backgrounds.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small group instruction based on students’ unique needs.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, ensuring compliance with state regulations and district policies.
• Adapt and modify curriculum and lessons to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to encourage success for each student.
• Utilize data and observations to inform instruction and adjust plans as needed.
• Maintain meticulous and thorough records related to student progress and goal achievement.
