Ideal candidates will bring:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification with relevant licensure required for K-2
- Prior experience teaching or supporting students with Multiple Disabilities (MD) or significant special needs
- Skill and comfort with implementing modified curriculum and individualized accommodations
- Ability to create and maintain structured routines in a classroom
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Dedication to student growth, safety, and inclusion
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering daily instruction based on a modified curriculum for K-2 students
- Developing and implementing individualized plans for each student's unique needs
- Ensuring a consistent and safe classroom structure conducive to learning
- Collaborating with general educators, support staff, and families
- Monitoring student progress and keeping thorough records in accordance with requirements
- Maintaining an engaging, caring, and inclusive atmosphere for all students
You will begin this assignment in mid-September and continue for approximately 12 weeks, giving you valuable experience in a supportive setting while making a real impact in young learners’ lives.
