Job Description
Step into an impactful role shaping the lives of students as an Intervention Specialist in East Cleveland, OH. This full-time, in-person position begins as soon as possible and runs through June 1, 2027, making a long-term difference across two school sites: early learners at the Pre-K–Kindergarten level and students in grades 5–8. Your expertise will directly support students with a range of disabilities, helping them achieve their fullest potential through individualized instruction and holistic support.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification or eligibility
- Previous experience as an Intervention Specialist or Special Education Teacher
- Demonstrated ability to support students with a variety of disabilities
- Comfort working with both early childhood (Pre-K–Kindergarten) and middle school (grades 5–8)
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with educators, families, and related service providers
- Proficiency in developing, implementing, and monitoring IEPs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted academic instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs
- Create and adjust individualized education plans (IEPs) to promote student growth
- Access student performance to inform instruction and interventions
- Serve as an active member in IEP meetings and ensure compliance with special education regulations
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation
- Foster partnerships with general education teachers, families, and other school personnel
