A maternity leave position is available for a K-2 Special Education Teacher specializing in Multiple Disabilities (MD), covering approximately 12 weeks beginning September 16, 2026. This full-time role focuses on providing exceptional instruction and care to kindergarten through second-grade students.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current Ohio teaching license with a Special Education endorsement
• Background working with elementary-aged children, preferably with Multiple Disabilities
• Ability to develop and implement modified curriculum and individualized accommodations for diverse learners
• Skilled in classroom management within highly structured environments
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with fellow educators, paraprofessionals, and families
• Flexibility and compassion in responding to students’ varied needs

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support for K-2 students with Multiple Disabilities
• Implement and adapt lesson plans tailored to individual education plans (IEPs)
• Create and maintain a safe, structured classroom routine conducive to learning and growth
• Track student progress and documentation, collaborating closely with support staff
• Foster positive relationships and promote self-confidence and independence in students
• Communicate consistently with parents and guardians regarding student achievements and needs
