Teacher's Aide - Providence, Rhode Island

Multiple contract positions are available at high school, middle school, elementary, and kindergarten levels, beginning August 31, 2026, and concluding June 10, 2027.

Opportunities span several grade levels:

• High school: 8:00 AM – 2:15 PM, Monday to Friday
• Middle school: 7:05 AM – 2:00 PM, Monday to Friday
• Elementary: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM or 9:15 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday
• Kindergarten: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday to FridayEach position offers a consistent 32-hour workweek.

Qualifications and Skills:

• RI Teacher Assistant (TA) Certification or CNA credential with prior experience in a school setting (required)
• Proven ability to support students with special needs and collaborate with classroom teachers
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated patience, adaptability, and a positive, encouraging attitude
• Experience providing one-to-one and group assistance within an educational environment is preferred

Responsibilities:

• Support students individually and in small groups, both in and out of the classroom
• Assist teachers by preparing instructional materials and helping to maintain a safe, structured learning environment
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to student progress discussions
• Foster an atmosphere of encouragement and respect for all learners
• Help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral strategies
