Instructional Assistant - Providence, Rhode Island

Make a difference in the lives of students by supporting classrooms as a dedicated paraprofessional for the 2026-2027 school year! Multiple contract positions are available at various grade levels, offering you the unique chance to guide and encourage learners across high school, middle school, elementary, and kindergarten settings. These roles begin August 31, 2026, and continue through June 10, 2027.

Your skills and enthusiasm will help shape a positive, inclusive learning environment. Flexible full-time schedules are available, with approximately 32 hours per week offered across several time slots to suit different preferences and responsibilities.

Qualifications & Experience Desired:

• RI TA Certification, or CNA with relevant in-school experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively support teaching staff and students
• Experience working collaboratively in diverse educational settings is strongly preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in classroom management and instructional activities
• Provide direct support to students, adapting to varying learning styles and needs
• Encourage positive social interactions and foster a respectful, productive atmosphere
• Help implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or behavior plans as needed
• Supervise students during instructional periods, transitions, and breaks

Available Schedules:

• High School: 8:00 AM – 2:15 PM (Monday through Friday)
• Middle School: 7:05 AM – 2:00 PM (Monday through Friday)
• Elementary: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM or 9:15 AM – 3:30 PM (Monday through Friday)
• Kindergarten: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM (Monday through Friday)
