Special Education Teacher - Warwick, Rhode Island

Step into a rewarding Special Education teaching role in a supportive school environment located near Warwick, RI. This position is available as a contract assignment for the 2026-2027 school year. You’ll serve one local school, working with a to-be-determined caseload and age group, where your expertise will make a real difference in students’ educational journeys.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Rhode Island ESE and Teaching Licensure required
• Background or certification in Special Education
• Experience working in school-based settings preferred
• Adaptability and passion for helping students with diverse learning needs
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Comfortable participating in virtual (Zoom) interviews

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet diverse learning challenges
• Collaborate closely with general educators, paraprofessionals, and other specialists
• Monitor student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and adjust supports accordingly
• Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and school stakeholders
• Participate in team meetings and professional development as required
