Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid certification from the RI Department of Education as an All Grades Special Education – Severe Intellectual Disabilities Teacher
• Strong background working with elementary-aged students with profound intellectual and developmental needs
• Ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored for severe and profound disabilities
• Commitment to fostering a compassionate and inclusive classroom environment
• Previous experience in a special education setting is highly desirable

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to elementary students with severe and profound intellectual disabilities
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methodologies to meet the needs of each student
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to support student progress
• Monitor, document, and communicate student growth and achievements to families and the school team
• Apply strong classroom management techniques to ensure a structured and supportive learning atmosphere
