Job Description
Make a meaningful impact by providing essential occupational therapy services for a student who requires specialized, one-on-one care. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with a school-aged student in a supportive educational setting. Your sessions will be tailored to meet specific occupational therapy needs within a flexible, manageable schedule of one hour per week. The student is immunocompromised, making safety protocols a top priority.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Active licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience in school-based, healthcare, or home health occupational therapy environments
- Familiarity with delivering individualized therapy sessions to children or adolescents
- Exceptional ability to communicate and collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Demonstrated understanding of the unique needs of immunocompromised clients
- Must be fully vaccinated in accordance with health and safety requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive one-on-one OT sessions weekly, focusing on the student's goals and progress
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans in line with educational and healthcare guidelines
- Provide ongoing assessment, documentation, and adjustment of therapy approaches as needed
- Maintain clear, positive communication with family and school staff regarding student progress
- Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety in every session
