Job Description
Make a daily difference for students by supporting classroom learning as a professional paraprofessional. Multiple contract opportunities are available across high school, middle school, elementary, and kindergarten levels for the upcoming academic year, beginning August 31, 2026, and concluding June 10, 2027.
Available roles include:
- High School: 8:00 AM – 2:15 PM, Monday–Friday
- Middle School: 7:05 AM – 2:00 PM, Monday–Friday
- Elementary School: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM or 9:15 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday–Friday
- Kindergarten: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday–Friday
Each assignment offers a stable 32-hour work week within a supportive school environment.
Desired qualifications:
- RI TA (Teacher Assistant) Certification OR CNA credential with recent, relevant experience supporting students in a school setting
- Strong interpersonal communication and patient, nurturing attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working closely with students and teachers
- Collaborative mindset and ability to follow educators’ instructions
- Flexibility to adapt to various classroom settings and student needs
In this role, you’ll:
- Assist teachers with classroom management and instructional support
- Provide one-on-one or small group assistance for students with differing needs
- Encourage a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Support students with academic, behavioral, or physical needs as directed by educators
- Foster student independence and engagement throughout the school day
