Special Education Teacher | Dearborn, Michigan

This contract position is located near Dearborn, MI, with the opportunity to serve children from birth to age three in a supportive school environment. Immediate start is available, with the assignment continuing through May 2026. Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate, with either Early Childhood Special Education (ZS) approval or the appropriate infant/toddler endorsement
• Active Special Education Teaching License
• Experience working with children from birth to age three preferred
• Strong communication skills and adaptability to support a range of student behaviors
• Passion for collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Committed to creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each child's strengths and needs
• Create adaptive instructional materials and modify activities as necessary
• Monitor progress and track developmental milestones
• Communicate effectively with caregivers and educational professionals
• Support the social, emotional, and academic development of all students
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with state and district requirements
