Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification with CI endorsement required
- Proven experience or strong interest in supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) characteristics
- Solid background in behavioral management and understanding of mental health needs within the special education population
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) reflecting student goals and needs
- Adept at collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, families, and related service providers
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction and interventions customized for a student with cognitive and behavioral needs in a supportive, onsite setting
- Collaborate in a full-team approach, managing behavioral, academic, and mental health support
- Monitor and document student progress, adapting strategies as required
- Foster a nurturing, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Maintain ongoing communication with parents, guardians, and staff to enhance educational outcomes
This is an onsite, full-time contract position running through June 2027, aligning with regular school hours from 7:30 to 2:45. You'll be joining a dedicated staff at a modern educational facility, impacting a young learner's life every single day.
