Occupational Therapist School Setting in Grambling, LA

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity providing occupational therapy services across multiple school sites in a dynamic, education-focused environment. This part-time position spans 20-25 hours per week, offering a meaningful way to make a difference in students’ lives from now through late May 2027.

Key Qualifications:

• Current and active Louisiana Occupational Therapy (OT) license required
• Previous experience in school-based OT settings strongly preferred
• Comfortable providing services at four different sites, including both high school and elementary levels
• Willingness and ability to supervise a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) as needed
• Strong organizational and communication skills to support collaboration across various teams and campuses
• Adaptable and flexible approach, able to manage a diverse caseload and travel between sites

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, student-centered OT interventions for children across Castor High School, Gibsland High School, Arcadia High School, and Crawford Elementary
• Assess, develop, and implement individualized therapy plans to meet students’ unique needs and educational goals
• Collaborate with educational professionals, teachers, administrators, and families to support student success
• Maintain accurate documentation and prepare regular progress reports in line with school and state guidelines
• Supervise and mentor a COTA, ensuring compliance with best practices and licensure standards
• Foster a positive, supportive environment that encourages growth and engagement among students
