Key qualifications and experience desired:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in Louisiana
- Prior experience with school-based OT services highly preferred
- Comfortable providing therapy across multiple locations
- Willingness and ability to supervise a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Reliable transportation to travel between campuses
- Commitment from ASAP through May 21, 2027
Primary responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students at four school sites, fostering students’ development and participation in school activities
- Assess students’ needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and monitor progress
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure effective support
- Complete timely documentation and adhere to all regulatory requirements
- Supervise and mentor COTA, providing guidance and feedback to ensure high-quality therapeutic interventions
- Contribute to multidisciplinary meetings, working as part of a team to support students’ overall well-being
