Job Description
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students across multiple school environments through occupational therapy. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in public education, providing vital services at College Park Elementary and an additional site with a smaller caseload. The assignment begins as soon as possible and runs through June 4th, 2027, offering a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours weekly in a collaborative school setting.
Desired Background & Qualifications:
- Active South Carolina Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
- Experience delivering OT services within a school environment
- Comfort working with students of varying needs and grade levels
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Flexibility to travel between school sites as assigned
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, student-centered setting
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct OT assessments, develop individualized education plans, and deliver therapy to support student achievement
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education team members, and families
- Maintain accurate records and progress notes in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Support activities to promote independence and enhance participation in the school environment
- Attend IEP meetings and staff consultations as required
