Occupational Therapist School Setting in Westerville, OH

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an in-person Occupational Therapist supporting the unique needs of students within a school environment. In this specialized role, you will provide crucial assessments for a single new student and, if the evaluation determines eligibility, deliver tailored occupational therapy services to foster their success.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive, standardized occupational therapy assessments for a student referred for services
• Observe, gather data, and collaborate with teachers and school staff to inform your evaluation process
• Interpret assessment results and clearly communicate findings to families and educational teams
• If the student qualifies for services, design and implement individualized therapy sessions focusing on skill development, adaptive strategies, and functional goals
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with school-based and state requirements
• Provide insight and recommendations for classroom accommodations or modifications as appropriate
• Travel to the student’s location in Youngstown for all in-person responsibilities

What we’re looking for:

• Valid Occupational Therapist licensure for practice in Ohio
• Recent experience working as an OT in school settings is highly desired
• Demonstrated skill in assessment and report writing for school-aged children
• Strong interpersonal abilities, with comfort collaborating across educational teams
• Flexibility to travel for a single student’s in-person assessments and therapy as needed
• Commitment to fostering a supportive, student-centered approach
