Occupational Therapist School Setting in Homer, LA

You'll play an essential role in providing high-quality, onsite occupational therapy services across four diverse school sites. Your ability to adapt, collaborate, and encourage growth will help students reach their full potential. The schedule allows for flexibility within a 20-25 hour work week, and begins as soon as possible, continuing through late May 2027.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Louisiana Occupational Therapist (OT) license
• Experience providing OT services within schools or similar pediatric settings
• Skilled in assessing, planning, and implementing therapy for students with a variety of needs
• Strong communication and documentation abilities
• Willingness to supervise a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• Dedication to supporting a collaborative, student-centered environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver onsite occupational therapy services to students across four schools
• Conduct assessments, develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Maintain thorough and timely records in accordance with school and state guidelines
• Collaborate with educators, families, and multi-disciplinary teams to promote student success
• Supervise and mentor a COTA, supporting their professional development
• Adapt therapy techniques to meet the diverse needs of students
