Occupational Therapist School Setting in Miamisburg, OH

A school-based opportunity is available for a dedicated Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, with a flexible contract role offering real variety. This position is located in the greater Miamisburg, OH area and involves working 28 hours per week. For COTAs, supervision is available so you can confidently support student needs.

Additionally, two other opportunities in the Dayton area—one for 24 hours per week, another for 16 hours per week—can potentially be combined with this role for candidates seeking additional hours or a broader experience.

Qualifications:

• Successfully completed a program in Occupational Therapy (OTR/L or COTA/L)
• Active Ohio state licensure or eligibility required
• Experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred, but not required
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Open to both OTRs and COTAs (supervision provided for COTA candidates)
• Flexibility to manage multiple sites, as needed, if interested in combining assignments

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct student assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver targeted occupational therapy sessions, both individually and in group settings
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to support student achievement
• Monitor progress and document outcomes in accordance with school and state guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team-based educational planning
