Exciting opportunities are available for dedicated Special Education professionals eager to make a meaningful difference in high school ASD classrooms. This contract position offers a chance to work exclusively onsite with a supportive team for the 2026-2027 academic year, starting in August and concluding in June. Multiple positions are open, providing flexibility and collaboration among passionate educators.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid and active Michigan Special Education License (must verify credential status prior to start)
  • Licensed or eligible to work in Special Education within Michigan
  • Experience in high school or secondary special education settings highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder support strategies
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills
  • Commitment to following individualized education plans and ensuring compliance with state policies
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve full-time, 37.5 hours per week in an ASD-focused classroom
  • Design and implement instructional plans that meet the diverse needs of students with autism
  • Collaborate closely with fellow educators, paraprofessionals, and school staff to develop positive learning environments
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with district requirements
  • Engage in IEP meetings, contribute to decision-making, and support family engagement
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines
