Make an impact with your expertise by supporting K-8 students with communication needs in a well-respected educational environment near Stamford, CT. This contract opportunity begins August 24, 2026, and extends through June 11, 2027, offering a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week across five days. You’ll work within one location, managing a moderate-to-profound caseload of 40 students who possess diverse communication challenges, including those requiring augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices. Your specialized knowledge and commitment will help students thrive academically and socially.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) credential
  • State licensure to practice Speech-Language Pathology
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with AAC devices
  • Previous background working with K-8 populations and various communication disorders is preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy to students presenting with moderate to profound communication deficits
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
  • Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams, teachers, and families to drive student progress
  • Maintain detailed documentation in accordance with school and regulatory requirements
  • Offer guidance and training to staff regarding AAC devices and best communication practices
