Make a real impact supporting high school students by providing essential resource support services at a welcoming California school. This contract role offers a rewarding opportunity for a skilled Special Education Teacher with a passion for individualized instruction and enhancing student outcomes. Starting as soon as possible and continuing through early June 2027, you will work full-time—Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, and Fridays from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. The position focuses on a high school RSP caseload of 21 students, including an IEP block and dedicated prep time.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Valid, active Mild/Moderate Education Specialist Credential issued by California
  • Previous experience delivering specialized instruction in a high school resource support setting
  • Ability to develop, implement, and track Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted academic interventions and support to students in resource support classes
  • Manage and monitor IEPs, collaborating with educational teams to ensure compliance and student progress
  • Use data to adapt lesson plans and instructional strategies to meet each student’s needs
  • Participate in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and collaborative planning sessions
  • Build positive relationships with students to empower learning and growth
