This contract-to-hire position offers the unique experience of rotating between three schools, ensuring a diverse and engaging workweek. With a part-time schedule (0.6 FTE) across three days each week, you’ll collaborate with fellow educators to provide essential support where it’s most needed, supplementing teams who need help with high caseloads. Your expertise will directly impact the learning journeys of special education students, making each day meaningful.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Valid California CTC certification in Mild/Moderate Special Education (required)
  • Demonstrated experience or training as a Special Education Teacher
  • Strong ability to manage diverse caseloads and adapt to rotating assignments
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, students, and families
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instructional support in multiple schools, enhancing existing special education programs
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Offer direct support to students with a range of learning needs, adapting teaching strategies as necessary
  • Maintain organized documentation and ongoing communication with all educational partners
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and parent conferences as needed
