Job Description
Make a difference in the lives of students as a Special Education Teacher working with elementary learners in transitional kindergarten through 8th grade. This full-time contract opportunity runs from ASAP through May 27, 2027, and is based near Tracy, CA. Here, you’ll work in supportive environments committed to helping each child succeed, focusing on mild to moderate needs to foster an inclusive classroom experience.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid California teaching credential for mild/moderate special education (active and required)
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field; Master’s preferred
- Experience working with elementary students (TK-8th) highly valued
- Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and adapting curriculum
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with families, staff, and support personnel
- Flexible, compassionate, and patient approach
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to diverse learning needs
- Develop and implement IEPs, monitor progress, and adjust supports as needed
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and administrators
- Foster a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment
- Establish strong relationships with students and families
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to IEP meetings
