Special Education Teacher | Tracy, California

Make a difference in the lives of students as a Special Education Teacher working with elementary learners in transitional kindergarten through 8th grade. This full-time contract opportunity runs from ASAP through May 27, 2027, and is based near Tracy, CA. Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid California teaching credential for mild/moderate special education (active and required)
• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field; Master’s preferred
• Experience working with elementary students (TK-8th) highly valued
• Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and adapting curriculum
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with families, staff, and support personnel
• Flexible, compassionate, and patient approach

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to diverse learning needs
• Develop and implement IEPs, monitor progress, and adjust supports as needed
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and administrators
• Foster a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment
• Establish strong relationships with students and families
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to IEP meetings
