Two full-time positions are available, focusing on either a TK or a K-1 SDC (Special Day Class). What we’re looking for:
- Valid CTC Certification: Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe credential required
- Prior experience working within SDC environments, especially with TK or primary grades
- Strong classroom management abilities tailored to students with diverse learning needs
- Expertise in IEP development, implementation, and data-driven progress monitoring
- Collaborative approach with general education staff, specialists, and families
- Dedication to fostering a supportive, creative, and inclusive classroom culture
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills
Key responsibilities:
- Design and adapt lesson plans to accommodate varying instructional levels
- Lead small group and individualized instruction in the SDC TK or K-1 setting
- Manage and document IEP goals, progress reports, and required compliance paperwork
- Use positive behavioral interventions and supports to encourage student growth
- Engage with families and support networks to ensure students thrive
- Participate in ongoing collaboration and professional learning
