Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teaching Credential
  • Experience working with students who have a range of disabilities and learning needs
  • Strong classroom management and differentiated instruction skills
  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Collaborative mindset and experience working within multidisciplinary teams
  • Adaptability, empathy, and a passion for student advocacy

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs in accordance with IEP goals
  • Assess students’ academic, behavioral, and functional development
  • Modify curriculum and adapt teaching strategies for optimal student engagement and success
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture that supports growth and self-confidence
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, parents, and support staff to coordinate services and resources
  • Monitor and document student progress, maintaining accurate records and reporting updates as necessary
  • Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, parent conferences, and relevant professional development
