Job Description

Step into a pivotal role supporting high school students as a Special Education Teacher providing Resource Support Services. This full-time contract opportunity, located near Dixon, CA, offers the chance to create meaningful academic growth in a collaborative and student-centered environment. You'll be working with a caseload of 21 students, delivering resource support classes, managing IEPs, and enjoying dedicated prep periods.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid and active California mild/moderate (Mild/Mod) Special Education teaching credential required
  • Previous experience working with high school-aged students in a resource support or similar special education setting preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes, documentation, and compliance
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and educational staff
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Adaptability and problem-solving mindset

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized and small-group instruction based on student IEPs
  • Case manage a high school caseload of 21 students, ensuring all mandates and timelines are met
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to support inclusion and academic achievement
  • Assess student progress, adjust instruction, and facilitate IEP meetings and documentation
  • Maintain accurate records, develop instructional materials, and participate in professional development
  • Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and growth

This assignment runs ASAP through June 6, 2027, with hours from 8:00am–3:30pm Monday through Thursday and 8:00am–3:00pm on Fridays.
