Step into a rewarding opportunity where your expertise will shape the lives of middle school students. This full-time, school year contract position is tailored for a skilled School Psychologist ready to make a meaningful impact with students in grades 6 through 8. As part of a collaborative educational environment, your main focus will be conducting re-evaluations for a caseload of approximately 35-70 students. From assessment through consultation, your insight will help drive student success for the entire school year.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification and licensure
  • Experience supporting middle school students, grades 6-8, preferred
  • Proficiency conducting comprehensive evaluations and re-evaluations
  • Strong understanding of special education processes and compliance
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to manage a dynamic caseload and meet deadlines

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete re-evaluations for identified students, ensuring compliance with district and state timelines
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to develop and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Provide consultation and guidance to families regarding assessment outcomes and student needs
  • Offer crisis intervention and behavioral support as necessary
  • Maintain detailed, confidential records and documentation
  • Participate in staff meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
