School Psychologist in Joliet, IL

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement
• Experience with psychological assessments, counseling, and intervention planning
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with both students and staff
• Commitment to culturally responsive practices
• Previous school-based experience preferred but not required

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations to support student learning and development
• Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to interpret assessment results and design educational interventions
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) alongside multidisciplinary teams
• Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and behavioral support to students as needed
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to policies promoting mental health and safe school climates
• Stay current with best practices and emerging research in school psychology
