Registered Nurse School Setting - Bolingbrook, IL

Step into a meaningful role supporting students as a Registered Nurse providing dedicated, 1:1 school nursing care to a student with complex medical needs. This full-time, onsite position offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact while working within a low-incidence life skills special education program. The position includes riding the bus to and from school with the student, ensuring seamless care throughout their day.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Experience supporting students with medical complexities strongly preferred
• Ability to confidently provide 1:1 nursing services in educational settings
• Comfort and willingness to ride the bus to and from school with the student
• Familiarity with low-incidence and life skills special education programs is a plus
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with school staff, families, and students

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct, individualized nursing care to a student with complex medical needs during bus transport and throughout the school day
• Implement and monitor individualized health care plans
• Administer medication, perform treatments and attend to emergent health needs
• Communicate effectively with educators, families, and support staff for continuity of care
• Maintain accurate, detailed nursing documentation in accordance with state and district guidelines
