This contract position seeks an experienced Registered Nurse with a Certified School Nurse (CSN) endorsement in Pennsylvania. Serve either an elementary or a high school campus, fostering wellness and ensuring a healthy learning environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse license in Pennsylvania
- Certified School Nurse (CSN) endorsement required
- Previous experience working with children or adolescents preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to respond effectively to medical emergencies and health concerns
- Compassionate and student-centered approach
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care and health services to students
- Respond promptly to daily health needs, medical emergencies, and routine care
- Administer medications and treatments per physician and parental instructions
- Maintain accurate health records in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Conduct health screenings, vision and hearing tests, and ongoing assessments
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support student well-being
- Deliver health education and promote positive health behaviors within the school community
