Teacher's Aide - Maple Grove, Minnesota

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of middle school students by providing classroom support in a contract paraprofessional position starting in late August. You'll play an essential role supporting students in a center-based (Setting 2-3) learning environment, collaborating closely with teaching staff, and making a direct, positive impact every day. This opportunity transitions to direct district hire after a 90-day contracting period.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers in implementing individualized education plans for students with varying needs
• Support students both inside and outside the classroom, promoting engagement and learning
• Provide personal care support, including toileting assistance, for students as part of the support team
• Maintain a respectful, supportive and inclusive atmosphere
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and families as needed
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school policies and procedures

Preferred Experience & Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience or passion for working with middle-school-aged children, especially in special education or center-based settings
• Willingness and readiness to assist with toileting needs as part of the paraprofessional role
• Must meet ONE of the following Minnesota Highly-Qualified Para requirements before submission:
  • Pass the MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam (proof of passing required)
  • 60+ college credits with official college transcripts provided
• Candidates will only be reviewed with a current resume and one of the required highly-qualified documents attached
